Blog Rules 1.0

This will not be an open blog to everyone outside the building.  This is designed for residents of the building only, so I will need everyone’s help in policing this policy.

The sign in rule to post or comment is to cut down on spam and also to keep people outside the community from hijacking the blog. To share something new or to comment, you will need to have any of the following accounts: Google, Live Journal, WordPress, Typepad, Aim, or OpenID.  If you have none of these accounts, the easiest one to get is Google email.

The rules for this blog are very simple. There will be no flaming of residents, calling residents out by name or by loft number, and no profanity. What is considered profanity? Most in the building are old enough to know. When in doubt, don’t use it.

These same rules apply regarding discussions about the staff of the Kirby. If you have a problem with a member of the Kirby staff, take it to the building manager directly. This site will not be used to rant at Kirby management.  But it will be used to discuss serious problems that are affecting our personal safety and well-being.

These rules are not static. They will be ever changing as someone tries to skirt the letter of the law. When that happens, the letter of the law will be changed to fit the new problem.  If you cannot follow these simple rules, you will NOT be posted.

Thanks,
Kirby on Main Resident (KOMR)
